I had a semi-elective section there early July this year. I can honestly say it was a pretty good experience, the op itself was professionally done with people talking to me throughout letting me know what was going on. I got to have skin-to-skin with DS straight away as well. The aftercare was also good, post-natal ward was fairly busy but the midwives and healthcare assistants were really attentive and helpful. They also have AMAZING breast-feeding peer counsellors on hand, if you want to breast feed and have any problems ask if you can see one.

Best of luck xx

Not me but a friend had an emergency c-section there 2 years ago and she is booked in for her next one later this month, so it couldn't have been that bad of she is going back. Good luck
