39+5, some wanker kicked off our wing mirror so I had to drive the car to the garage and walk the mile home, then later walk the mile back to the garage to pick up the car - went into labour that night at 39+4 and had DD after a 6 hour labour 17 min second stage :)

Sending you quick, easy and painfree labour vibes!

booflebean · 06/09/2012 22:47

38+6 and I was at home. Phoned MW at 12pm saying think I might be starting very early labour but wasn't sure, DD was in my arms at 3pm same day after getting to hospital fully dilated and having 3/4 pushes (can't remember which it was!)

Good luck for your birth and labour Smile

Ds1 - 42+2, first contraction at midnight, the night before induction was planned. Baby in arms at 09:55 the following morning after midwife breaking waters at 07:00, and a shoulder dystocia. Not a nice experience unfortunately.

Ds2 - 38+6, started at 23:00, the night before induction was planned! crowned on the loo at 02:33, born with sac intact. Much better experience this time.

Ds3 - 39+6, woke up in pain at 02:30, got to hospital at 04:40, told I was 5cm, born at 05:03, again on the loo! Waters broke a few seconds before he crowned. 2nd stage recorded as two minutes. In shock but a great experience!

Ds4 due in January - who knows what'll happen, but have been told by hosp to keep towels and blanket in car from 37wks. Eek!!

Good luck OP!

39+6, first twinges very early morning, arrived at hospital 1.30pm, 8cm dilated (DH v impressed at how far I'd got/well I'd coped!), munchkin number 1 born at 5.45pm.
(munchkin number 2 due in March, hoping for similar experience, although without the 3rd degree tear!)

DawnOfTheDee · 07/09/2012 12:45

Sadly I didn't. Was induced at 42wks. Firmly believe if they hadn't she'd still be in there now.

tara0202 · 07/09/2012 12:45

DD - 40+5 and gave birth at 40+8 (damn you long labour)
DS - was induced at 40+4 and had him 1 hour 54 minutes later (love you short labour!)

sillymillyb · 07/09/2012 12:53

Ds born on due date, woke at 5am as I was bleeding but no pain. Arrived at hospital 7am fully dilated and screaming the place down. Ds in my arms 2hours later :)

efffy · 07/09/2012 12:53

41+1 was supposed to be induced the same day due being overdue, however I was going to phone and cancel and hang out a bit longer as I was desperate to go into labour naturally. Anyway waters went at 1:30am, no massive pains until 6am had a baby by 9am and picked up DD1 with 6 hr old baby DD2 from school that afternoon Smile. It was all very lovely.

Hope all goes smoothly for you Smile

Moominsummermadness · 07/09/2012 19:59

DD1-39+6, woke up at 2.30am with a contraction. Went into hospital at 2.30pm, was 5-6cm dilated, gave birth at 4.50pm.

DD2-had been niggling since 40+4 after sweep, contractions started properly at 8am at 41+1, went into hospital at 9.30pm, only to be told that I was only 2cm. TMI but hadn't been for a poo for days, so midwife gave me an enema, and contractions ramped up at 11.30pm. DD was born at 3.10am the next morning.

DD3-again niggled for a couple of days, then labour started immediately after sex at 10.30pm at 38+2. DD born at 5.50am the following morning. Had a 5 minute second stage.

With all three DDs, labour slowed down at around 7-8cm, so my waters were broken artificially, and was fully dilated within half an hour.

Am now 38+1 with DC4, and really hoping that it happens soon!

feekerry · 08/09/2012 08:59

42+2. Had first contraction about 4 hours before my induction!

Flisspaps · 08/09/2012 09:00

DD induced at 40+15

DS spontaneous contractions at 40w (my dates, 40+10 their dates) at 3.30am in my bed.
