Was your second "natural" birth early or late?

DP is convinced our DC is going to be early. I'm convinced it will be late.

DD1 was born by CS a weeks after due date.

DD2 was induced 2 weeks after due date.

So, in my mind either could have been even later.

So I just wanted a quick show of hands - were your subsequent vaginal births early or late?

Early. First was 41 weeks, second was 39 weeks and third was 38+4.

Hoping it gets a bit earlier this time round as I'm fed up now :o

Ds1 finally arrived after an induction at 42+5 !!

First vaginal birth induced for border-line low amniotic fluid (and three weeks of non-stress tests and general anxiety for us!) at 39 plus 4. Second spontaneous delivery at 39 plus 2. Am 37 plus 3 now and quite frankly, ready when you are!

1st birth DS was 3 days early
2nd birth DD was 10 days late

1st baby I went into labour at 10.30pm on the due date, and he was born the next morning.

2nd baby is due today, and I'm not in labour yet (although having a few early signs like back ache and period pain), so we'll see...

DS1 10 days late
DS2 7 days late

DH was also convinced DS2 would be early!

1st day before her due date
2nd was 10 days late

1st - 3 days early
2nd - 10 days late

1st 38 weeks
2nd 37 weeks
3rd 39 weeks + 4 days
All spontaneous vaginal deliveries. The last one felt late to me!

Ds induced at 38 weeks due to PE
Dd exactly 2 years later was natural at 37 weeks

1st birth 2 days early

2nd 1 day late.

My children are punctual :)

DS1 was 3 days before his due date.

Currently 40+8 with DC2 who is not showing much sign of coming anytime before being induced on Sunday.

DD1 13 days late
DD2 15 days late

There will be no number 3 as who knows when that would appear

Labour started a day late, she made an appearance a day later so two days late I suppose. First was a week late.

DS was c/s at 39w5d

DD1 VBAC at 39w5d

DD2 VBAC at 39w4d (spoiling my nice consistent record)

DS three days after due date
DD1 one day late
DD2 on the button!

Exactly the same; 40+6.

DD1 was 4 days early
DD2 exactly on time ( a few minutes after midnight on her due date)

So no real trend then?

DD1 induced at 40+12 weighed 7lb10

DD2 spontaneous at 38 weighed 7lb7

DS1 spontaneous at 40+3 weighed 8lb11

DS was born at 38+3.

DD was then born at 40+4.

Both spontaneous deliveries.

both mine naturally at 41+3, so I guess that's my natural gestation period. Doc was a bit tetchy with first one due to lateness, and I was due to be induced that day, but baby decided to pop out after all, just an hour before the appointment!

DD was induced at 41+6
DS came on day of induction at 41+5

Mine were all late but I have a steroid sulfatase deficiency so I have no idea what its like to go into labour early, I'm always very late.

dc1 - emcs on due date
dc2 and 3 both vbacs, both arrived on their respective due dates

I don't like to be kept waiting around. My dc know this.
