Blood on wiping (40+3) should I get excited?

Just that really, is this a sign something is about to happen or just wishful thinking? Also, it will take dh about 2 hours to get home from work, presumably it's too early to call him yet or do you think things might happen quite fast? Sorry to be so uninformed

is it just blood or is thier mucus (snotty discharge) with the blood?

pmgkt · 28/08/2012 11:13

I would ring mw to check in case it is a sign of anything else

IawnCont · 28/08/2012 11:15

Depends what it's like. If it's fresh red blood, ring you MW straight away. If it's a streak of blood in a lot of discharge, it could be the show.

If its red with nothing else call the MW I reckon (I'm not term yet but have had red spotting and MW's ALWAYS want to know)

Thanks, I have called and am going for check up this afternoon. Predictably it has pretty much stopped since I rang but it was blood not mucus.

Hi there...I had a bloody show (blood/mucus combo) about 30hrs prior to my DS1 arriving in the world. At 40+3, I'd say it was definitelyy the start of something...though I know that even once you've had a 'show' it can apparently be days before anything else...hope your baby comes faster than that though!

How are you Caity? Thinking of you, hoping all is well.
