Sleep with contractions

Hi all

Being induced (or possibly ELCS) tomorrow morning as waters went yesterday. However, contractions building tonight.

Everyone tells me to get rest / sleep, but how to do this? My contractions are fine as long as I am bouncing in my gym ball, but agony if lying down. Any tips for getting through the night? Thanks

All well here! Lovely healthy baby girl made an appearance late last night, and doing a brilliant job of eating, sleeping and snuffling

Very glad she arrived safe and sound

She is quite small (2.8kg / 6.2lbs) but eating really well. She has lots of lovely dark hair and seems very happy!

Name decided but very unusual name in England so just to make sure I don't 'out' myself completely best keep it a bit quiet
