Has anyone given birth to a back to back baby?.... how was that?
Thanks

Exactly as the previous post.
Ds was back to back. Started at home on the Sunday evening and was only 6cm by tues afternoon. Ended up with an epidural as was exhausted.
Ds did turn, literally as I pushed him
Out. Was pushing for over 2 hrs and tore in two places. Having said that though, he was almost 10lbs and having midwifery experience, labours with large, first babies, often end that anyway.
You can try looking at the website 'spinning babies' for ways to encourage baby to turn. Don't worry too much though, what will be will be. Baby will know what to do when the time comes and just have faith in your body that it will be able to bring your baby no matter what position he's in.
Yes, it was long and painful and yes, I had a fair few stitches but I got the most amazing little bundle of joy at the end of it. Keep that forefront in your mind and you will be just fine Smile
My only other piece of advice is to keep an open mind about pain relief. I swore I wasn't going to have anything but the epidural saved me from a cs I believe. It allowed me to have a few hrs rest from the pain and regain my energy to be able to push him out. Do whatever your body tells you to do! Smile

My DS was ROP. Not that I knew until I was about to start pushing. By the time I was 4cms I was having one constant contraction with no break in between. Was told I needed to be strapped up to a trace when my waters went as there was meconium in them. Had to have an epidural at that point as I couldn't labour like that whilst being flat on my back. 27 hours, useless pushing, episiotomy, 3rd degree tear and a ventouse delivery later, i got my bubba.
