So I think my body has decided to go into labour as slowly as possible. Or at least that's how it feels! I lost a chunk of my mucous plug Sunday morning and had fairly constant period cramps all Sunday evening then lost another huge bit of plug Sunday night. Since then I've had odd two or three hour periods of gentle-ish cramps every few hours and several more painful bouts accompanied by the runs. Now I think I'm starting with a bit of a bloody show (a bit more mucous but now slightly brown tinged). I'm 39+1 and this is my first. Someone please reassure me this is all good and getting me somewhere! Because the constant anticipation and questioning of whether this is it yet is driving me nuts.

All really normal stuff. Try and eat and drink plenty and rest as much as you can so you are ready for the main event. Not much longer before you get to snuggle with you snuffley newborn baby. Jealous - still weeks to go for me!!
