deciding where to give birth from Dorking

Hello all,

I'm newly pregnant and starting to think about where to give birth.

By default I would end up at East Surrey Hospital, but I get the impression that Epsom has better stats and feedback? Does anyone have an opinion on this?

What about a home birth in Dorking - does anyone have experience with the local midwives?

Many thanks for any advice anyone can offer.

I had my third DD at east Surrey on 2nd of Aug and was absolutely fantastic! I've had all 3 children there now. Was v v busy with my 2nd but still good care. I had a male midwife this time and he was great I even filled out that comments form as I thought they should know how kind and caring they all were.

The ward after only had me on it and one lady on a monitor (Altho it was a thurs morning prob an unusually quiet day) the bathrooms were spotlessly clean the cleaners were in there every half an hour. Everytime I've had a lovely experience .

Thanks Cheekychops. Anyone else? Particularly anyone who's delivered in both.

And also any home birthers?

Really appreciate any and all input - thanks.
