Hypnobirthing CDs? So stressed!

I'm so pissed off and stressed out :( It's been a catalogue of errors, trying to get hold of the Mongan Method cds!

I bought the book, not realising it was the copy without the CD.

Then I bought the CD, not realising it was the Maggie Howell prenantal relaxation, not the proper Mongan Method.

Then I bought a second hand version of the Mongan method book I already have that explicitly stated "with audio CD" - only it came without the CD and the seller invoice states "no CD". Not that they fucking said that in the Amazon ad!

Gargh! I am so stressed out by this - I just can't seem to get my hands on the CD. I'm 30 weeks and freaking out because I read I need to start practicing a couple of months in advance, and wasted so much money on this already. I've seen loads of "hypnobirthing" CDs online but I can't tell if they are the "proper" Mongan Method or not - or if they're just like the Maggie Howell relaxation techniques. Does anybody know if you actually need the Mongan method?

I have it in my head I need this particular CD and I'm so stressed...the opposite of what hypnobirthing is supposed to teach :(

I believe that you can only get the Mongan Method CD from a practitioner.

The CD comes with Marie Mongan's book - but I bought it second hand where it listed the CD that comes with it, only they now say the CD isn't available.

Should I just cut my losses, buy the same book again - this time new - or are the other methods pretty much of a muchness anyway?

I've got the CD that comes with the book and don't really like it- I prefer the natal hypnotherapy ones. If you're in UK, am happy to send you the one I don't want if you can think of a secure way to receive it without having to give out your address online?

Thanks Londonmrss - would you say the natal hypnotherapy was better? I have the Maggie Howell natal CD but I just have it in my head that the Mongan Method is the only way - I don't know why! I was contemplating going down the natal hypnotherapy route but having had my fingers burnt trying to get this blasted CD anyway, I didn't know if people thought one was better over the other?

I used Mongan Method (got the CD and book on a course) and I'm told it's quite different from natal hypno. It might be a bit confusing to have cd not matching your book so IME I'd go for a new book with CD if you can

Just a personal choice really! I prefer the voice and exercises on the NH ones. Also like the fact that there is a CD with just the music to use as birth music- I use that to do yoga to so I can associate it with relaxation that way too. Can't say if one works better than the other though- and I really like the Mongan book, just not fond of the CD. Have PM'd you, Orenishii.

Londonmrss you are a queen amongst women, thank you Thanks

I have two versions of the Mongan book now, thanks to mine and a seller on Amazon's fook ups.
