New Forest Birth Centre/Homebirth in Southampton area?

Posted in local, but not much traffic there...

Has anyone either given birth at New Forest Birth Centre or had a homebirth in the area? Everyone I know in Southampton has been to Princess Anne. Had DS at Princess Anne and it was ok (may have to go back there anyway for medical reasons) but considering other options with DC2 as I didn't have the most fantastic experiences there. Went to New Forest postnatally with DS and thought it was fab but would like to hear about experiences of birth there (or at home). TIA!

I wanted to have Ds there, unfortunately when I got there I had meconium so we went to PAH instead. But for future children, I would still opt to go there. I found labour ward at PAH fine, but aftercare pretty terrible, spent a night at Ashurst on day 4 and felt so much better... There were people there who had had their children there when I was there and loved the experience.
