Has anyone had 3 or more sections? How was your 3rd one? Obviously I know it varies but I have an elective section in 6 weeks and I am starting to get anxous about it. I know its mad because I have done it before. However, I think its knowing its going to happen is making me stress more.

I've had 3.

They were all pretty much the same.....

My Mum had 4 and she was fine. In fact she said her third and fourth were a lot easier than her first two.

Hi lancs02 - I've had three and will be having a fourth next year. Honestly, I found the third one the easiest in all respects.

I knew what to expect during the op and whilst I find it a bit of an ordeal, I asked them to put the radio on and just deep breathed my way through it and it was fine. My recovery was really fast, I was up and about as normal by a week...well ok, not totally normal, but was doing loads more and was in far less discomfort than with the previous two.

I hope the fourth goes the same way although I'm not counting any chickens. Good luck and an early congrats on your new arrival. Thanks

DSis's third was her last and most complicated (perhaps because the pregnancies were close together, her womb had fused somehow with the scar tissue and took a long time to stitch back afterwards. She's been told to have another would risk her womb rupturing, endangering both her life and the baby's)

Sorry, just read how stark my post was! I hope I haven't scared you, OP.

Congratulations, BTW

Thanks ladies. At least I have a long gap between this one and my last section so hopefully that will work in my favour.

No you haven't. Those thoughts always go through your head anyway. Plus we are not planning on anymore. (well weren't planning on this one!)

I've had three. First was emergency, last two were calm and fine. Take lots of arnica every four hours afterwards for a fast recovery.

I took CD's in to listen to, my choice of music wasn't appreciated.

I have had 3. First one emergency. Subsequent two my preference. Section 3 was fine. I think it depends on the hospital. Section was at queen Charlotte. They were the best.
