Hi, I'm moving hospitals soon as we're moving house. Anyone got experience of care at St George's South London, how's the birth centre? The website says they only have two birth pools so how do I make sure I get one?

I had DS1 there and did get a birth pool. I had an amazing experience there, the staff were all lovely and the aftercare was fab. There are only 2 pools but 4 birth suites, it is luck whether you get one though. I'm hoping to again which could be soon as think I've just gone into labour! Hoping to get some sleep first though x

So just had baby number 2 at St George's, and infortunately didn't get on to the Carmen suite. Definitely preferred water birth but the staff were all lovely and still had a positive experience. Last time I had a 3degree tear and all the follow up care I got was brilliant too. I hope you get the birth you want but do think it's a really good maternity hospital

Congratulations! And thank you for replying with your experiences, especially so soon after birth!
