Just a quick question, i'm 30 weeks pregnant with my second DC and i'm starting to pack my bag for hospital. My first labour resulted in a 1800ml PPH due to uterine atony and i was in hosp for 6 days (needed transfusions etc.) I was quite unprepared for a long stay the first time but don't want to go OTT with the packing this time.

For those of you who had a similar experience first time how long did you stay in hosp the second time around?

I had a 5 day stay with dd1 followed by a 3 day stay with dd2, retained placenta and pph both times (other additional complications with first). Dc3 due any day now and retained placenta and pph likely again, so I am just packing for 2 day stay and plan on getting Dh to bring in extra baby clothes if needed, but the actual amount packed for two days in hospital vs 5 isn't actually that different. Good luck.

thanks hun, forgot to add DH was rubbish at bringing things into the hosp last time, brought in 0-3 sleepsuits for DD as he didn't realise they were any different than newborn, also brought in size 8 pre-preg jeans for me to go home in Hmm .

I had a 3 day stay after dc1, had a pph but no transfusion did have a drip though. I was out 12 hours after dc2 was born, although I was told it was likely I would have another pph I never and everything was fine.
