Itchy c-section scar, hot flushes

Dont know if I'm in the correct topic area but my c-section scar gets really itchy quite often and is still quite ridged. It's healed up fine and never hurts, just itches. Is that normal? I had it done five months ago exactly.

The other thing is I keep getting really hot up to five times I'm 24 hrs. Don't look red just get really hot. I'm ff and have had one period since I had dd. I had her on 1st March and had a period in May but not had one since. Is that normal? I have just turned 40 but wouldnt have thought it was the menopause yet and my periods were regular with no hot flushes before I was pregnant. Anyone got any advice or experience with this?

Hiya, I would go to see your GP Geekster. I think the itches around your scarline could bento do with healing/returning sensation as the nerve endings heal and 'wake up' so to speak. I had my ELCS in April this year and I get weird sensations at times; like tingling numbness. You know, similar to pins and needles?

Periods can take a while to re-regulate. I'm FF and my period returned 8 weeks after delivery ... And lasted 20 days. Had to have blood tests and would have needed a scan had it by stopped before the appointment came through! I had a normal period last month though. At 40yo, maybe it's gonna take longer or your body to get back in ta stride? Maybe you need a blood test to check your hormone levels? Good news is that they can be all over the place for te first 6 months, so you're within that time frame.

Scars do itch, they tighten as they heal - try lots of massage.

My c-section scar still itches uncontrollably from time to time and my dd is almost 8!
