Has anyone here had one? Did you get one during induction? If so would love to chat, as it happened to me

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had a placnetal abruption with DC1 at 40+10. It was a spontaneuous delivery, but I started bleeding heavily in the pool, and DC1 was pulled out with a ventouse 20 minutes later. I was in HCU for a day and DC1 was in babycare for 2, but we are both fine.
My consultant concluded that my planceta had actually just degraded so I was induced at 40+7 with DC2 and 40+5 with DC3 with no problems at all.
We had private scans with the second two to check the blood flow tot eh placenta.
So for me, the abruption was a feature of not been induced, had I been incuded at 40+7, I wouldn't have had the issues we had x

I was fine, loads of scans with no probs. except one in week 10 I had a bit of bleeding but they could find out why. I was 40 plus 14 and had mild contractions..then they put in a pessary and nothing and then an hour after my second pessary my placenta came away. I always wondered if the two were linked. I felt very traumatised by the whole thing. Had e c secs and both baby and myself was at risk. How did your labour go after yours came away?
