A show - what to expect?

Sorry, not the most delightful of topics but what quantity of gunk counts as a show - half a teaspoon? a thimbleful? an eggcup ... ?!

And do other signs of labour appear soon after, or could there still be a long time to wait?

I should know this but last DD was born 7 years ago and I can't remember!

I only had a show with one of DSs, and I was overdue with both of them. Was induced at 40 +10 with both, so it didn't proceed any other activity for me. But I had no other signs/symptoms of impending labour either!
It was quite a large snot-like blob...lovely. I think I lost a bit more over the following days...
I think it can tend to be blood streaked too.
How long have you got to go? 10 days until due date here! And as usual absolutely no signs of labour...Hmm

Ah that sounds familiar ... I'm 40+4 and getting bored!

Mine was snot-like...and stringy too. But I had some almost everyday for about 1 week before labour. The first lot was the biggest amount, then it got less as the week went on.

I don't think everyone loses their plug though.
