Hello, i'm currently 27 pregnant and planning a VBAC (ideally hypnobirthing) at Derby Royal. i've had 2 miscarriages and am on blood thinning meds so it really has to be a hosptial delivery but i'm a bit concerned because i have had really mixed experiences there; sometimes the staff are great and really supportive but other times (the majority of time for me) i feel like i am a nuscience that they can't wait to get rid of.

my main concern is that they're talking about continually monitoring me throughout the labour, i had this with DC one when they tried to induce early (36 weeks) and it meant that i had to stay on the bed lying on my right side (i was meant to be lying on my left but they kept getting sides mixed up!!!) and had to ask to be unhooked so i could go to the loo. it was pretty grim and i think it will slow my labour down this time.

i am having trouble visualising a birthing experience that doesn't involve conflict and tears on my part and was wondering if anyone has any experiences that can either reassure me or prep me...

i hope that all makes sense.

xx
