I am currently 40 + 9.

Had two membrane sweeps at 40+5 and 40+8 but my cervix was too high on both occasions and my Bishop's score was 1 at both appointments. Am booked in for induction on Monday when I will be 40+ 11 but if my bishops score is still less than 5 is there any point? Will the hospital still try?

Am ready to have this baby as feel so uncomfortable

I'm 40+1 got a sweep booked Tuesday . A mumsnetter here had an unsuccessful induction and was sent home think they will try again but she went naturally in the end a couple of days after ?

Unless medically necessary I think the less interference the better.

At 40+9 there's a very good chance baby will come before Monday. Try to keep active over the weekend and upright as much as you can (gravity is a big help) - don't over do it, a gentle walk around the block or to the shops and back that sort of thing, sit on your birth ball if you have one rather than with your feet up on the sofa when you watch TV. Have sex if you can muster up the enthusiasm (or even if you can't!) failing that nipple stimulation is meant to be a good trigger.

Best wishes for a straightforward and prompt birth!
