Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

With my first I flew to see my parents at 9 weeks, and after DC2 I flew on my own with a 2 year old and 4 month old (both C Sections). It was hard, but people were great with helping to carry bags etc (less so the airline staff). I put the baby in a sling and the toddler in a pushchair, and had a rucksack and bag I could put over the pushchair handles. It's all doable! Just travel light, get your mum to buy in supplies and only take enough nappies for the journey.

I would have felt fine to travel earlier but had to wait for the passport. With my second child, I had the passport earlier but had to wait till DS1 had his 2nd birthday as I wasn't allowed to fly on my own with two infants under 2.
Good luck! You'll be fine!

Yes of course! I was riding my horse after 6 weeks, never mind standing on a moving walkway!

Beware, if you fly budget airlines your gate will be approximately 3 miles away from the exit.

I ought to say, my husband has taken our eldest on KLM a few times. The flight attendants were super helpful, turned a blind eye to bottles/jars and took the buggy on to the fuselage without a grumble. :)
