2cm dilated at 37 weeks...does this mean I was likely to go on my own before EMCS???

So basically what it says in the title? Was induced early due to pre eclampsia but was 2cm dilated at 37 weeks and having frequent non painful contractions. Ended up having induction and emergency section but do u think I would have gone on my own if I'd been left to it? Just wondering as I'm pregnant again and hoping for a VBAC but been told I can't be yo diced so will have to go into labour naturally....

Any thoughts???

I got to 2cm dilated at 38 weeks with DD, then it all stopped and she eventually arrived a day overdue, it was quite weird being able to feel her head though.

Sorry, I was not in labour for 2 weeks, it all stopped for 2 weeks, 6 hour labour, no intervention.

You can have the pessary and have your waters broken but they are reluctant to put you on a drip as it increases risk of rupture.

With dd i was 2cm for weeks but ended up with emcs for missed breech.
