Regular pains after sweep, is this labour???

I had a membrane sweep done this morning (40+3) and since then I've been having regular cramps and tightenings. They are coming every 5-10 minutes give or take a few minutes here and there. They are pretty uncomfortable but I've still been able to go out for a walk etc. The MW said that the sweep can cause cramping but would it be this regular? I feel like this is it but dont want it all to stop and be really disappointed! Also been having bloody discharge all day (had this all day yesterday too- before sweep!) Oh and I was "a good 2cm dilated with a softening cirvix." Any experiences of this or any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

and do you have your bag packed?

Emmeric · 18/07/2012 18:50

Think this is probably it Emmeric! Sounds like plugs gone and if your cramps are that regular then I think it's not going to be long now.

Take care. Hope to check back soon and see some good news!!

Hi all,
Just to update: that was it! Our gorgeous girl was born just 13 hours after having the stretch and sweep! Good job I didn't have that dinner party!
