Periods After Pregnancy

I just got mine back last month (DS is 14 months), hurrah as we're wanting to try for another. However, I was wondering when you get your period back after pregnancy, does it come back in the regular pattern as before, or is it like being a teenager all over again with irregular cycles?

both, it never the same twice, but usually they are a bit irregular for a while.

Had my first after DC1 after about 9 months (when I stopped bf) and they were all over the place for quite a while, still managed to conceive DC2 with no problems though. Got my first period after DC2 at 13 months (when I stopped bf) and never had another as conceived straight away, which took us by surprise a bit! So just go for it - it may not matter even if you are a bit irregular.

DD is nearly 9mo now and AF came back when she was about 6mo, even though I am ebf. Started off as irregular, short period (2-3 days) and every 2-3 weeks, but now seems to be back to normal.

Good luck with TTC no 2. Trying to persuade DP to start trying again but he's veteod it until the new year!!!
