Labour with DS was easy, and quick. Woke up having contractions 15 minutes apart, waters broke after breakfast, DS born 8pm that night. I knew I was in labour.
Have been having contractions on and off for days, but usually only in the evenings. Today I've been having them all day. Every 15/ 20/ 30 minutes or so. Relatively painful - not agonising, but stop what I'm doing painful. There's blood in my discharge. Rang the birthing centre a couple of hours ago - I thought that the contractions were picking up a bit - they told me that it sounded like latent labour, and to just carry on and ring them when either my waters break or the contractions get significantly closer together.
But seriously, how much longer might this go on for? I feel like I'm not making any progress at all. I thought second babies were meant to come quicker? And now it's been half an hour since my last contraction, and seriously I feel like I'm just never going to get to the actual giving birth stage.
