feeling like a ticking bomb!

Hi there, I am 36+6 with dc3, my last labour was literally 1 hour from start to finish with not so much as a niggle beforehand. I also delivered ay 37 weeks.

Anyway because I know that when it happens it is likely to be fast, I feel like a bomb waiting to go off. I am scared to be alone with my dc as I worry childcare won't have time to get to us. They are still going to childcare even though I have started mat leave.

I don't know what I expect from this post, anyone else feel like this?

They are at childcare during the day while dp is at work that is meant to say.

Hi rachdog I feel the same and also on dc3 altho I'm 35 weeks and my older two were overdue but when it happened I too didnt have a much warning other then back ache then full blown pain :/. Luckily tho it happened ar the weekend in the evening . I live very close to hospital but my baby is due 27th of July when I have the older two at home and I'm scared as to what to do with them timewise :/

Glad its not just me facing this, have u got a family member or friend that can be with you during the day? If I go overdue into the holidays I will ask my sister to come down with her Dd during the day.

It's such a worry isn't it, if only we knew when they were coming rather than being on red alert constantly.

Yes my mum could leave work if I needed but to b honest I'm jus dreading the birth anyway as they are quick its painful straight away there is build up bit scary !

I agree it is very intense when it happens so fast, I am just gonna tell myself it will be over soon...
