I have had a show this morning.

I'm stillgetting contractions (have been on and off for two weeks)but there is pain too now.

Does anyone know, when you waters break do you always get a "flood"? I have had to put on a big pad as I'm leaking something more than regular dc when I move about....hoping this is a good sign.

I am 41 weeks +1 today, and would really love this to be "it". Please cross your fingers for me.

I leaked for 3 days before I gave birth. That's why I did'nt think I was in labour (actually thought I'd become somewhat incontinent ). I only noticed dampness when I coughed, turned over in bed etc and then it gradually got heavier and heavier. I've been following you girls (I'm on the Sept thread) and can't wait to hear your happy news. Good luck hun x

Marne · 26/02/2006 10:39

Good luck jasnem,
Your waters can leek slowly or with a gush. Sounds like a good sign. Fingers crossed for you.

HellKat · 26/02/2006 10:47

Are the contractions regular yet?

Ohhhhhhh I love these threads

I hope I get to do one to

RosiePosie · 26/02/2006 10:55

I had a continuous show and very slow leaking waters for 3 days last time. Didn't realise waters were actually leaking at all until afterwards when midwife said with surprise "oh! no waters! Where did they go?"

Good luck!!

Jasnem · 26/02/2006 11:06

Either my waters are leaking, or I've developed a serious incontinence problem overnight! I really don't want to wait another 3 days though...

Going to bath the kids and do some housework in the hopes of distracting myself a bit/speeding things up.

Contractions are erratic, and not that strong.

Jas, so glad I checked back in on you before I popped out congrats hon, looks like your on you way should you get MW to check you out, as if waters are going, your supposed to do the labour thing in the next 24hrs if I'm right, try posting on March thread for VYY, as she's a MW! for better info than me, my waters had to be broken last time, so no personal experience tho!

Tabs · 26/02/2006 12:40

Yay - hurrah - another Feb baby on the way! Will look out for updates throughout the day.

There was me thinking of suggesting we met up again this week if you were still waiting and really bored - guess your baby didn't like the thought of that!

Jasnem · 26/02/2006 12:57

Phoned the hospital, and am going to go in and get checked this afternoon. Am going to wait for my friend to come and babysit though, so not 'til later unless things change here. Contractions are slightly stronger, but still not regular.

Baby boy born Sunday at 6.06pm, weighing 7lb 13 oz.
Rapid labour, ventouse and episiotomy, but we're both well (after early discharge this am, then rapid return to hospital when he choked and turned blue)

Tired and uncomfortable, but very happy. More to follow when I can sit for longer!

Thanks for your thoughts all, and extra labour vibes to Frizbe, Thell and Helen!
