It has been 6 weeks since DS was born with CS.
A week ago, I started whet seemed to be a period; however I am still bleeding and there are no signs of it stopping. And the bleeding is quite heavy.
As I am not sure that I bled quite so much with DS1, I was wondering wether it's normal or the sign of something more sinister. I am going to see the GP on wednesday anyway but was wondering what your experience was.

My first period after having DD by CS was similar to what your experiencing.
Lasted almost two weeks very heavy and large clots, the one after that was heavy but not quite as long.
DD is now five months and my last two periods have been back to normal.

Thank goodness for this thread!

My lochia lasted for 5 weeks after my ELCS, I had one week's grace then I got my period and it didn't stop for 20 days!! Dd1 was VB and although forst postpartum period was very heavy, it wasn't loooooooong. So, I had postCS period from the start of week 6 to the end of of week 8. I saw my GP on day 13 as I was so worried and she booked me in for a scan. Date for that isn't until the 14th July (all very well if there was something untoward!)

I'm now 9 weeks post CS. If my usual cycle is anything to go by, I should get a period next week. Will keep my peepers peeled and watch out for length and heaviness.

I thought a CS was meant to be get everything out more effectively? Why would our bodies be still trying to get this stuff out months later via never-ending periods?
