PPH treatment side effects, possibly TMI, diarrhoea, fecal incontinence

i was induced and had a pretty much pAinless birth experience (with epidural)

Follow delivery however things became rather fraught. I had a 1.2l pph and the doctors in the room were quite pAniced

Anyhow they gave me some medication because of the pph which caused me immediate and total diarrhoea and fecal in continence. I found this really shocking. I basically spent two days sitting inn my own shit as a result.

I have searched Internet and I can't find that others are reporting similar pph side effects. What happened to me was really scary and nasty and I would like to know if it was really that unusual?

A really quick response as I should be zzzzz.
It is likely you were given a drug called misoprostol - very commonly used in the management of a pph and very commonly causes severe diarrhea. I am sorry this was traumatic for you and hope that you are recovering well. Sorry my post is brief - must sleep!
