Don't know what the average is, but with my first I lost 13lbs and my second 15lbs.

Mintyy · 16/06/2012 17:15

I'm not sure because I didn't get a chance to weigh myself for about a week. Both times I was a bit Hmm to find I had only lost about a stone of the two stone I'd gained.

StarlightWithAsteroid · 16/06/2012 17:17

Well I tend to lose about 19lb but then put on about a couple of stone over the next 6 months due to bfing and sugar cravings.

Pastabee · 17/06/2012 06:49

I lost 14lb giving birth and then another 7lb over the next three weeks as I lost the water, extra blood you carry etc.

LackaDAISYcal · 17/06/2012 07:08

Do you know, the day after I gave birth I had more to think about than how much weight I'd lost Wink

After a week or so, it was only just under a stone but I think there was a lot of water retention and swollen boobs!

Cheekychops84 · 19/06/2012 21:04

I hope to loose at least 4 as I've now gained about 3 and I'm no skinny Minnie anyway I'm now a very large lady :;

henrysmama2012 · 22/06/2012 09:31

I lost about 1.5 stone almost immediately but i did put on over 3 stone with the pregnancy Grin

thing1andthing2 · 22/06/2012 09:57

I lost 5 kilos on the day. I had gained 12kg altogether. I think I dropped another 4kg within about 3 weeks and the last 3 came off over 6 months.

LackaDAISYcal · 24/06/2012 23:25

Do people really weigh themselves the day after they have given birth? Really? Why would you even think about it? I don't recall seeing any scales in the maternity ward though I doubt I would have noticed them as I was far too busy staring at my gorgeous baby Hmm

Pastabee · 25/06/2012 09:58

Complete fascination for me lacka. I was in the bathroom at home and the scales were just there and I was really curious to know how much everything weighed!

thing1andthing2 · 26/06/2012 15:08

I had a homebirth lacka so was at home anyway. Was just interested... Was a little bit weight obsessed in pregnancy to be honest. Am again now (39+3) have put on about 11kg this time so quite pleased.

Want2bSupermum · 26/06/2012 15:13

I lost 26lbs over 6 days. I was weighed the morning before being induced and weighed 211lbs (a Tuesday morning). I came home on the Sunday and was 185lbs. A week later I dropped to 174. Unfortunatly the weight loss didn't continue!

BalloonSlayer · 26/06/2012 15:18

I was pissed off to fuckery that on getting home after 4 days in hospital (labour, c-section and recovery), having lost what felt like 20 gallons of water, had a 9lb 9oz baby plus placenta delivered, no food for at least 24 hours and craptastic NHS iron-curtain rations food thereafter, plus mega hungry baby, I hadn't even lost a poxy stone!

Just as well it was the NHS or I might have asked for my money back.

However once BF got established I lost a pound a day until I ended up at 8st 2 when he was about a month old. Huzzah! That's half a stone thinner than before I got pregnant.

CaringMum28 · 28/06/2012 21:03
