Wondering if anyone knew of a hospital near Ashford which allows high risk waterbirths?
Background is I'm due dc2 1/1/13 (subject to dating scan next week). Dc1 was 42 weeks exactly. I am hoping this one follows their big brother's lead, but am aware that it could make an early appearance.
Anyway, dc1 was an emcs as he was turning all the way down during the birth and just wouldn't get in the right position - they wouldn't even trial by forceps (though I was adamant that wasn't happening anyway) despite his head being visible.
We are attending a wedding of a dear friend when I will be 39 weeks. I only want to miss it if I'm already in labour, or in the hospital with a newborn.
I really want the waterbirth I was denied last time, my hospital here are happy for me to have a 'high risk' waterbirth, as the only high risk factor is the previous section.
Anyway, long ramble cut short - do any hospitals in this area offer this, and if baby puts in an early appearance, how do I tell them, hiya, I would like to use your pool, I'm in labour?
