Hello just looking for some support really! I'm breathing through it all and am happy to stay home rather than be sent home from a wasted trip to the birth centre but I just wish I knew if this is it or.if it's just my body getting ready. The tightenings aren't in waves. I thought it might just be constipation- a constant problem in this pregnancy which has always made me feel like I'm contracting- but I did manage a small poo-sorry tmi- yet I feel the same. This is dc2 but first was induced so have no idea what it would feel like to go into labour.

Anyway a sure way for it to be nothing is to post on here- I'm feeling better already :)

Rang hospital they said I should go in to find out why there's pain at the top all day. Then it went...but now it's back again. Am going to eat something and decide what to do. I can manage it when I concentrate but if I'm distracted then its quite strong. But mainly a winded feeling just really bad winded feeling. Like someone's punched me in the tummy!

lol Grin

well the tightenings started coming in waves with reasonable enough frequency to make the trip to hospital, triage said i'm in early labour and am definitely contracting but to go home and rest and come back if i need to. which i was more than happy with, id rather be at home, but it was good just to get an assessment of what's going on. im 1-2 cm dilated, which may be just because this is a second baby, and the cervix is still long, so i've probably got a way to go yet....
