Have my waters just broken???

I'm 40 +1 week and a bit with DC2 and think my waters broke nearly a couple of hours ago. I don't remember a 'pop' or anything, just felt like i had peed myself and then the urge came everytime i stood up, and just couldn't stop it. Still is happening that way now. I'm pretty sure (hopeful!?!?!) that it's not pee, but I am worried because there are no contractions or anything? It feels like contractions may start soon but nothing. TMI, but I did have lots of mucus, but not bloody like it was with DS1. Called doctor who says wait for contrctions, but just wanted some advice really! Help! With DS1, I had a show, a big poo (!?!?)fair amount of blood/fluid and contractions almost immediately. Waters were broken by doc in hospital.

Call your hospital. When mine went (no pop either and gushed and gushed and gushed for 90 mins) I was asked to go in for triage and to take a pad ( so pop a maternity pad in if you haven't already). The hospital looked at said pad to confirm if waters or not. I was sent home as contractions hadn't started but they had 4 hours later. DS arrived 10 hrs after waters went. They would have had me for induction the following morning if my cntrx hadn't started by then.

Sounds like its your waters - definitely go in. Mine were just the same, and it took me till the next day to get round to going in. They gave me a 24 hour window from when the waters went before I had to start IV antibiotics....

good luck!

Thank you!!! DH is on his way home and has called doc again apparently. She said to wait again if all is feeling okay so will see what happens over the next couple of hours and take it from there.
Feeling a lot calmer now...thank you all!
