Anterior placenta and cs?

Hi girls,

I was just curious as to wether any of you experienced a cs when you had an anterior placenta?

Would you need a scan to check location of the placenta before or do they just go for it?

Only asking as I had a cs with dc2 and will be with this 1 and I've been told I have an anterior placenta

TIA

hi, i had an anterior placenta and a cs and as i understand it unless your placenta is low it won't affect the cs and they won't need to check its location as they will cut pretty low down. my anterior placenta was high and this is what happened for me.

I had low lying anterior placenta and was having ELCS. Was scanned at 34 weeks for that and growth and all was fine. ELCS used same scar from previous posterior ELCS.
