Low lying anterior placenta and previous sections

Hi ladies,

I had my 20 week scan yesterday, baby looked perfect (thank goodness) but I have a low lying anterior placenta and, of course, the risk is that if doesn't move I may develop placenta accreta. I am terrified! I have been up all night crying to my poor husband about 'what ifs', totally silly I know.

Is anyone able to offer any reassurance? Thank you xxxxx

Mine had moved by the 32 week scan they do if you've got a low-lying anterior placenta.

90% of them do.

Even if it doesn't, it didn't end up there because of something you did. And nothing you do can shift the bugger.

I totally spent all night on Google after my 20 week scan, wibbling about it to DH, so I know exactly how you feel.

So basically, 9 out of 10 women in our position go on to have no further issues. I like those odds.
