Fed the fuck up - induction. Or not.

Admitted at 5 yesterday due to persistent proteinuria and sudden elevated blood pressure. Have barely slept due to woman in next bed snoring all night and they won't give me any indication as to when they're going to induce or if it is even going to be today - just been abandoned completely. Other than being told that I can't go home despite living less than 10 mins away.

I just want to sleep and have my baby without all the interventions which are bound to happen now because I'm not ready.

Blood pressure back down and am allegedly second in "queue". Probably won't be today. And not allowed home. I hate this place, this fucking consultant (yes I GET that I need to be patient but you've brought me in for something I desperately did not want and now you're telling me you might not get round to it today?), everything.

Aww poor you, I really hope they start giving you some proper answers soon, just being 'next in the queue' isn't really helpful :( is there a sympathetic midwife there that you get on with? They might be able to get you a cup of tea and listen to you for a minute. How many weeks pregnant are you?

Flisspaps · 10/05/2012 10:28

They cannot stop you going home and returning tomorrow for induction. You're not a prisoner.

You'll deal with it much better having a decent day and night's rest beforehand, and you won't get that on a ward.

awwwww hope it all gets better ...
At least you are in an environment where they can monitor you incase something isnt' right...
just hang in there .
will all be worth it in the end

Sorry to hear this commander. I know it's grim - been there, done that! Fingers crossed they sort you out soon. (At least you can Mumsnet - in my local hospital they won't even let you use wireless devices on the ward!)
