What do you wish you'd done before baby was born?

With my first daughter my answer would have been sleep, sleep and more sleep! I was in labour and without sleep for 3 days once things started and deliriously tired by the time she was born, to the point of hallucination! I'm due with DD2 in 3 weeks and this time I'm making sure I get plenty of sleep, spend plenty of one-on-one time with DD1 and partner and keep lots of mementoes as I only have a couple of pregnant pics with DD1. What else would you recommend doing before baby comes along?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

BEFORE dc1 - gone on a foreign holiday.

though 3 weeks before, probably some kind of treat closer to home. though there are few enjoyable treats in late pregnancy!

If your DD is into activities, lots of sticking and glueing, baking, that type of thing. Those activities are harder with a newborn, because of all the getting out and tidying away. And miles harder with a one year old who won't sit still and tries to eat the glitter Grin. I'd have crammed in more of that.

For yourself, I'd have watched a few more dvds and enjoyed the fact that I wasn't totally desperate to get to bed by 10pm.

Boring and practical - prepped up an online shop ready to go.

I wish I'd relaxed more and not worried so much about the birth (especially DD2's ELCS.) I worried about it from about 20 weeks, trying to decide.

Best of luck to you for 3 weeks time!

had a holiday with OH

ok it had been booked for a year (when i was 34 weeks) but he decided not to book the time off, until it was too late so i had to go on my own

Also moved house, we will be attempting that in the next few weeks with a 9 / 10ish month baby

Spent more time on my hands and knees to ensure better presentation of my babies. They both came out slightly twisted and if is known after the first one I would DEFINITELY have dine it for the second.
