2nd baby - how many weeks did you get to?

Hello - Just wondering if 2nd babies can come earlier than 1st? Obviously I know they can, but as a general rule, if the 1st was overdue, is the 2nd more likely to??? MY 1st was induced at 41+5, and I am booked in to be induced with this one at 38 +5 (due to possible medical probs with baby). I am desperate to avoid being induced, so am hanging on to the hope I will go au naturel! I am doing all the old wives tales to see if that helps (even though they didn't work 1st time). I am also trying reflexology, which is nice, but not too sure if it will bring it on as such. Any experiences? Tips?

No tips but dd was 8 days earlier than ds (he was 40+8). I did loads of reading but basically concluded that anything could happen. Sorry!

DC1 40+2
DC2 40+13

DS 40
DD 41+3

I asked a mw this last week and she said there was no proven link between lateness in first and second (I was 40+12).

Hope it all goes well.

first was 42 weeks and induced

2nd was 40+3 and came naturally

I didn't do anything differently 2nd time round (appart from move house on my due date lol)

DD 36 weeks
DS 34 +4

Dd and ds both arrived the day before their dues dates and both were a Wednesday.

I was 38+3 for both DC's

Dd1 38 weeks
Ds1 39 weeks
Dd2 39+1

Looks like I might be being induced based on the above 1st and 2nd arrivals! Ah well, not much I can do. Thank ou for your replies:)

Ds induced 38+6
Dts waters went 33+4

Move house would be my tip

DS1 - 41 +4
DS2 - 41 +6 (and induced, so no idea when he'd have arrived if we'd left it up to him)

DC1 - 38+1
DC2 - 40+1.

Don't know if that helps or not .
