East Surrey Hospital - thoughts from anyone who's delivered there recently

It looks likely that I will have to give birth (first baby) at East Surrey. I had wanted to stay at home as I have a real problem being in a hospital. However, my bp is not where it should be and the consultant has strongly advised me not to consider a home birth. Has anyone given birth there recently, and if so, what was your experience like?

Just wanted to update here following the birth of my little boy last Monday. The delivery unit team were absolutely amazing and I could not have been happier with my care. When it comes to the wards I would say to to get a private room as this massively improved the experience for me. The ward was very hot and quite small so when all six beds have visitors it's very claustrophobic (not what you want when still confined to bed following a c section)
