Episiotimy (sp) suddenly sore....

ds was born just over 2 weeks ago. I had an episiotimy (sp) and up until today, I had no problems with it. However, today it's really sore. I don't know if this is part of the healing process or maybe because I have done much more walking over the last few days, started carrying baby in sling etc.....

I guess if this soreness doesn't settle down in the next few days I need to see someone about it (oh joy) ? I've taken a look and can see some redness but no obvious signs of infection.... Will a bath help or is this a no no with a healing wound?

Thanks

You can bathe with an episiotomy healing. Don't put anything in the water though (eg salt or savlon)

I had one two weeks ago and it's sore today but I've been busy, I assume I've overworked the scar tissue so will have to sit on my arse all day tomorrow Hmm
