This has probably been done before but I can't really find the answers I'm looking for - I know the 'proper' answer is 6 weeks but I wondered what you all felt.

I had an emergency caesarian section 3 weeks ago after a failed ventouse - baby 10'4' with his head in a bad position.

  1. How long before you felt like you could drive?
  2. How long before your stitches felt healed?
  3. How long before dissolvable stitches actually did?
  4. How long before you could confidently exercise?
  5. How long before you had sex?

Thanks!

Rach69 have had 2 sections both elective, hope this helps

  1. How long before you felt like you could drive? With section no.1 drove after 5 weeks and 2.5 weeks with no.2, drive an automatic which probably helps
  2. How long before your stitches felt healed? Couple of weeks in both cases
  3. How long before dissolvable stitches actually did? Couple of weeks
  4. How long before you could confidently exercise? was back in a spinning class after 3 weeks with section no.2 took much longer with firt section was about 12 weeks
  5. How long before you had sex? 6 weeks or so in both cases

  1. How long before you felt like you could drive? 2 weeks
2. How long before your stitches felt healed? 2 weeks 3. How long before dissolvable stitches actually did? I had metal staples (urgh!) 4. How long before you could confidently exercise? No swimming for 2 months but the clinic where I had my dc had an on site exercise class for new mothers. I went after about 5 days. 5. How long before you had sex? As long as I could feasibly put it off!
