When? When? When?

Hi all, am 39 +5 and feeling really fed up (A.K.A. sorry for myself) today waiting for my much hoped for VBAC. OH is getting really impatient and I keep getting lots of well meaning enquiries from friends and family which are not really helping....
Lower back pain for last 2 days, lots of twinges, LOADS of Braxtons, loose bowels for a week (sorry TMI) and still feel ages from B Day! Went for a sweep this morning but had to abandon it because it was so uncomfortable which made me feel like a real loser.
Anyone got any advice with coping with the big wait (and other people?)

Sympathy good! Right back at you! This is my first 'down day' so am having a good wallow to get it out my system.

Have spent most of the day horizontal. Only got up for (unhealthy) food and loo breaks.

You have my sympathy. I'm 40+3 and went for a sweep today. It was unsuccessful because I wasn't dilated at all. Sigh. Am fed up. Getting loads of Braxton Hicks. Was up for 3 hours from 2am this morning with period-like cramps so was really hopeful that the midwife would be positive about my progress. But no. This baby takes its time-keeping from my DH (he's late for everything)!

Oh! Well cramps must be a good thing as it shows you're moving along surely? Seriously considering going out in the rain to buy a pineapple.

I bought a pineapple yesterday but not ripe enough to eat yet.
Bad news, I have a bloody stinking cold, nasty headache, blocked nose... a right pain. But I am well enough to bake a chocolate brownie nicely baking in the oven!
Period like cramps sound good, fingers crossed!

No pains or anything after sweep yesterday. Cue much more sighing. Am eating a raisin, nut and chocolate drop mix while watching films today to pass the time. Hope you're enjoying your days (apart from the pesky cold)...

Eating pineapple tonight and if no success, sex tomorrow. I really don't fancy curry at the mo.
