Does anyone have anything positive to say about North Middlesex home birth team?

I've just had my booking in appointment at the Whittington, but was then sent away after being told that if I wanted a home birth I didn't fall into their catchment area. The midwife told me that I should register at Barnet hospital, and also she said that she definitely would avoid using the North middlesex as it has such a bad reputation. But after speaking to Barnet hospital, I was informed that my home birth would be covered by the North Midd's home birthing team. Has anyone had a home birth through the North middlesex home birthing team, if so, what was your experience??? Everything I have read so far about the North Middlesex team has mentioned that they've not been particularly caring. This is a worry as it's my first pregnancy, but am really keen on having a natural home birth.

Hi. My experience of them has been positive at a home birth. Every midwife is different, but I haven't come across a non-caring midwife who has attended a home birth yet. Have you managed to meet any of the community midwives from this team yet?

Hey Kate, thanks for responding. No, I only got turned away from the Whittington today, so haven't had a chance to take it much further. Will try and meet up with them soon. Thanks for putting my mind at ease.
