Irregular bleeding after birth

Hello ladies, just wondering if it's happened to anyone and what the reason was. DS was born 8 weeks ago and it was a straightforward VB. I bled for about 3 1/2 weeks then it stopped for a couple of weeks and since then I've had on and off bleeding every week for a few days. The colour can be brown or pink or red, it varies a lot. I'm ebf and have no other symptoms. Any ideas?

I'm about 3 1/2 weeks from birth and my bleeding/discharge was tapering off nicely til late last week, then suddenly started up again very bright red. I called my community midwife who said this is normal and just to watch out for big clots. Obviously yours is going on longer so you might want to call your midwife or GP for reassurance!

I think your lochia can come and go-mine stopped ans started several times- in the end i bled for 7 weeks It usually a sign you are doing a bit too much if it starts again.

I've definitely been doing too much (I've got another two!)
