BH all night no sleep:labour?

Hi ladies,

I'm 4 days from due date and last night had bh contractions every 20 mins that stopped me sleeping until 6am.

This morning they have disappeared to being every half hour or less and are not nearly as painful.

Is this early labour? If it is, how long could this bit last?!

Thanks for any advice, really appreciated!

Hi Biscuit

Braxton hicks arn't painful, a bit uncomfortable maybe but there should be no pain. I would say you have been having proper contractions and labour has started.

It's also normal for contractions to ease off and then come back so maybe later today they'll come back stronger xx

Hi biscuit, I hope for your sake it is the beginning, but I had this most nights from 34 weeks, by the morning they would have gone. Ds was then born by cs at 40+10 having never been properly in labour!

Neither of mine have been straightforward though :o

Good luck!

Hey Biscuit, I'm having the same. And lots of 'period' pains thrown in for good measure (38wks).

As an indicator or labour, I am afraid I have no idea. :(
