Being induced tomorrow - I'm scared!

As it says really! Just a little self indulgent post because I'm a bit scared and I've just snapped at DD (2.3) for wanting attention

I don't know why I'm scared, I had a rather easy time with DD, although that was a spontaneous labour, not induction. I'm scared about how much it might hurt (although planning on asking for epidural) and scared sonething's going to go wrong

It doesn't have to be ghastly: I was induced twice, the first time I laboured on TENS and a little bit of gas and air and never thought of asking for anything else, so can't have been that bad (I am not the world's bravest!). The second time I did have an emergency section but that was because of ds' heartbeat going down, not because I was in a bad state.

Some people have a rough time with induction, but for me it wasn't really that bad.

Don't be scared.

Ask at every stage if you can wait a bit longer (so if they break your waters and nothing happens after say four hours, can you wait another hour before they put the drip in, if not why not?)

Why are you being induced? Medical reasons or for being 'overdue'?

I've been induced 4 times, 2 were longish events to get going, 2 were quick - no assisted delivery, no drip. It was fine.

You've laboured and delivered once before it should all be fine.

Thank you for the reassurances! I'm overdue (and quite frankly, fed up!) hence being induced. I'm a natural worrier and trying to find the positives in the situation, like no rushing in in the middle of the night (watch, I'll go into labour naturally tonight )
