Pregnant 6 months after a classical CS - anyone else done the same?

I have just found out I'm 4-5 weeks pregnant and I have a 6 month old DS.

Whilst externally I have just a tranverse c-section scar, internally I had both a tranverse cut and then a vertical cut was made when they had problems getting DS out. (lot of straining and huffing & puffing was heard from the other side of the curtain!). They then had to do some sort of extra stitch to get womb to contract as had a bit of a haemorrhage too.

Obviously I'm going to get a referal to the consultant to make sure all ok etc - at the time he just said a cs would be recommended for any future births due to rupture risk.

But in the meantime I would love to hear from anyone who has had any experience of being pregnant so soon after a classical CS?

I had my 2nd ds 17 months after ds1 was born by emergency c-section. Had a VBAC and tore horribly - extremely quick, violent, painful birth. Wish I had had a 2nd c-section tbh, but otherwise all was fine, and have always been pleased with such a small age gap as the 2 boys have always been v. close. (went on to have ds3, v slow painful 3 day labour ending in painful delivery with much tearing, and dc4 where I insisted on a c-section, and that was the best birth of the 4 if that helps any)

good luck
