How long is your cervix??

Hi all I am 39+5 and had stretch and sweep this morning :) now having period pains etc the midwife said my cervix was 1.5cm and I was 1cm dilated.
What does the 1.5cm cervix mean it is also soft and central?

Not long now!

A normal cervix in pregnancy should be about 4mm I think, and it will shorten generally (efface) before dialating. Central also good.

hi ya, i had a sweep yesterday, mine was also 1.5 and 2cm dilated. no signs as yet. boo... i am due today x
