Im currently 38+3 with baby number 1 and had my appointment with my midwife on monday because of a blood problem im now being induced on my due date to avoid complications if I go over my due date also been told to come in for a sweep on Monday. Although i'm ready for this baby and have everything in for my little bundle i'm panicking slightly I cant believe its finally happening eeekkk does anyone else feel like this also feeling a bit nervous about having the baby and spending my first night in hospital by myself I know that there will be other mums there and midwives are there to help too but I guess Im just worried about looking like a clueless first time mum whos out of her depth :/

I think your feelings are completely normal. It's easy to put childbirth to the back of your mind in early pregnancy but as it gets nearer it's natural to feel nervous and scared of the unknown. In fact, I think it's good to be aware that you might feel overwhelmed and out of your depth; if you conviced yourself you know everything you'd get a bit of a shock!

We were all clueless first-time mums at one time. It's a steep learning curve but it doesn't take long before you start to feel more confident about it all. And don't hesitate to ask the midwives for help when you're in the hospital, especially about things like breastfeeding. I even grabbed a midwife to make sure I was changing DD's nappy right the first time Blush

Good luck, and I'm sure you'll do great :)
