Mucous Plug..what does it look like?

I am 37+5 with DC2.

My 'show' with DC1 was odd, just a little bit of brown fluid but as I had a low placenta I had to go straight to hospital.

I have been having period pains and tightenings for a week now, and this morning have just wiped away a huge piece of mucous discharge, but no blood in it.

Can it be my plug? Am on tenderhooks, as I am attempting a VBAC but am predicted to be having a big baby so only have 2 weeks to get things going before I have a section.

That sounds like it midnight. I was weirdly fascinated by mine because it was the size of a golf ball and clear..... No blood. DD was in my arms 12 hours later.

I have had 50p size globbs of clear mucus come out periodically over last few weeks. I am now in 37th week. No idea if it's just discharge, or part of a show. Never saw any sort of show last time as waters went before anything.

Like a big snot glob. There's not always blood in it.

It can come away in bits too, so you could have some now, some later, some later still...

Like a big, stringy, bloody lump of snot. It was disgusting, and despite having 16hrs of contractions it was my "Oh my god, I'm actually having a baby" moment!

I had lots of blood in mine, nobody told me that could happen.

I am having number 4 and I have never had a show !!!! if I have I never saw it lol ........ I am awaiting the arrival of a show this time with baited breathe just to prove they do exist !!!!!!

I had some more today, so I think things are moving in the right direction.

It looks like a jelly fish.

But it can replenish, so it could discharge and then replenish and then discharge again. Good luck.
