Hi, home birth planned..
I requested syntocinon for third stage ( if i need it- planned physiological although if it takes ages...), as syntometrine has nausea and headache as side effects... midwife quite happy- but texted to say i need it from the dr on prescription.
Went to dr today; got script, went to pharmacy; didnt stock it and can't order it in. Midwife isnt anwering... ( not a great sign) am now 37+4.... any midwives/dr's on here got ideas?

Hi I am neither but wanted to say (have had three homebirths) - keep trying to reach her again later - Is it your first homebirth? Is there a pharmacy at your local hospital that perhaps could get it in? Good luck!

I am a midwife. If it has been prescribed, I would probably bring some from my hospital labour ward if it proved difficult to get from pharmacy..
