Is this my body getting ready????

Random one about the start of labour......

I've spent the past two days feeling nauseous and as if I'm going to have an upset stomach but haven't been sick or had any diarrhoea. The baby has been unbelievably active during this time and my heartburn has been pretty much unrelenting.

I've been having tightenings every hour since waking up this morning - I know it isn't classed as labour until contractions are 10 to 15 minutes apart but just wondered if this has happened to anyone else?

So is this my body getting ready for labour or have I just got a rubbish lergy?

Thanks for any and all answers.

Could be either! I dismissed my hourly twinges as 'gearing up' - DD (DC2) was born 36 hours after they started. Actual, regular contractions started about 8 hours before she was born.

Scratch that - just puked (apologies to the squeamish), was saying to DH that maybe it was something I ate but then we've eaten the same meals for the past two days so can't understand what is going on!!

Oops sorry forgot to say thanks for your reply - I will keep that in mind but fully agree that it might be either. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much that 'this is it' - just have to see how it goes I suppose!!!
